Where were you born?

I was born and raised in Miami, FL, but I can’t tell you when. You never ask a Lady her age.

When did you get into radio and why?

I first got into radio just out of High School. I worked for a Country Radio Station, my on-air name was Cathy Chase. I actually closed my eyes and picked the last name out of a phone book. I later worked as a Reporter and Anchor in Television News at various NBC and ABC affiliates around Florida. But now I’m back in Radio and loving it!

When did your relationship with Jesus start?

This is a complicated answer. I remember walking forward at Vacation Bible School along with a bunch of other kids when I was around 12. But as the years pasted, I found myself questioning my Salvation. It wasn’t until February of 2003 that I truly realized I wasn’t saved. My Husband, Clint, and I both accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior during the same Church service and we were Baptized together the very next Sunday. God is so good!

Where is the favorite place you’ve lived?

I’d have to say, my favorite place I’ve lived is here! We live in the Fleming Island area and just love it. We moved up from Plantation, FL back in 2002 and I really didn’t want to move up here. Now I can’t imagine living and raising my two boys anywhere else!

What is your best childhood memory?

My best childhood memory would have to be summers at Camp. My parents would send my brother and I to camp in Ocala, FL for the entire summer! It was called the Youth Conservation Camp. We learned all about nature and how to appreciate all our wonderful surroundings and animals God created. I hope to send my boys there someday as well.

What sports team do you always root for?

The Florida Gators, of course!!! I’m a Journalism graduate from Florida. Funny story…I’m a Gator and my Husband Clint, is a Seminole!!! Guess you could say we’re unequally yoked. We truly have a “house divided”, my oldest son, Cole, is a Seminole and my youngest son, Cade, is a Gator.

Who is your current favorite musician?

I love to listen to John Tesh, I think he’s incredibly talented. I also like Third Day and Mercy Me.

Other than the Bible, what book are you reading now?

Actually, I’m not a big reader. So the only book I read is God’s Word.

What is your favorite vacation spot?

My favorite vacation spot is Maui, HI. I’ve been there a few times and I can’t wait to go back again, next time with our boys.

What vacation spot have you always wanted to go to, but haven’t yet?

I’d love to go on an Alaskan Cruise. I’d also love to see the Grand Canyon. One of these days, Lord wiling, I will.

What would be a perfect Friday night for you or your family?

A perfect Friday night for us is grilling on the back deck, then watching a movie together on the couch and sleeping in late on Saturday morning.

What is your favorite food?

I can’t pick just one thing. I love Pizza, I love Sushi and I love anything Italian. I also love smoked salmon on a bagel with cream cheese, onions, capers and tomato.

Do you have any pets?

We have two Pomeranians. PJ is solid black, about 4 years old and weighs about 6 pounds. Murphy is a reddish color, he’s about 5 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. They are my little angels, we love them so much! And you should see them on the boat, they love it!
